Although we say that we do not treat specific conditions, we know that many common complaints are helped by Bowenwork®’s holistic approach. In fact, there is no condition for which Bowen therapists would not offer treatment. Even in very serious or acute conditions, where an injury or trauma has just occurred, Bowen can be used to very good effect.
Musculoskeletal problems such as frozen shoulder and back/neck pain account for the majority of conditions presented to practitioners, but it can also be helpful with more organic problems. Clients have reported significant improvements with conditions such as asthma, migraines, and irritable bowel. It is believed that Bowenwork® prompts the body to reset, repair and balance itself, and clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy. This broad, holistic approach allows it to be helpful in many different circumstances.
The list below provides examples of some conditions that could benefit from Bowenwork®. Links to additional information or case studies will give you a clearer picture how Bowenwork® has helped.
